I started out talking about the channel on the intake but this is good. Now I know what the channel on the base plate is for. Do you think that stainless heat shield gasket should go on top of the 1/4" insulator as Quadrajet says or below it? I think maybe they misspoke. As bnun12 said I would think it would go under it.
