Post Carb and Intake Suggestions Desperately needed

Hey i have a hi-po 289 and want to get a new carb and intake. I was thinking about getting a Carter AFB 625 cfm and a Weiand Stealth Intake. Is that a good combo or does anyone have any recomendations. This is my first time to ever start modding a car so any help would be much appreciated.

That would be a really good setup, not too big, not too small, good driveability, good torque with enough lung power to breath on the top end.

I would think that a resto SHELBY dual plane and HOLLEY dual feed (600 or 650) would make a nicer looking setup. It will also retain the integrity of the FORD small block. The origional 14" factory chrome lid open air cleaner is also available resto. A set of COBRA aluminum rocker covers and you will be looking sharp.

I got the valve covers and air filter, but when i rebuilt the engine the carb was shot so i took the intake and carb off of another stang because i didn't have the money to go with a new carb and intake at the time. So right now it's just a piece of crap 2 berrol.
