Carb Question
 

OK on blower ENGINES or even engines with tunnel rams you see the carbs mounted sideways, why? and another thing why on holley type carbs do i see guys attaching rubber hoses from the front bowl vent tube to the rear?

That out of the way now on a 620HP SBC 388CI stroker could i mount the carbs sideways and would it be beneficial?

There's not enough room for the Fuel bowls to mount normally.
To prevent Fuel from splashing out of the vents on hard launch, steep angles etc..
