Carb Question

I have a 670 Holley Carb on my 88 Mustang. These carbs came from the factory with the electric choke. When I bought the car, the complete choke assembly was missing. So I ordered a replacement choke from summit. I have it now, but the instructions, and every set of instructions I've been able to find are more along the lines of converting a carb with a manual choke to a electric choke. Does anyone know where I can find some simplified instructions on just how to install or replace the electric choke? I'm sure I will not need some of the parts that came with the choke, but I want to make sure its installed and adjusted correctly. One more question that may be silly, but should I have to bend the connecting rod, or should it already be pre-bent to fit the carb. Only asking because it looks slightly different than the rod that was left hanging on my carb.

Here is some good general info on choke operation/setup http://www.chevelles.com/techref/Adj...tic_Chokes.htm
