All you need is a set of intake gaskets and some RVT sealant. Get the cheapy Mr. Gasket intake gaskets that hang on the shelf of almost any parts store. Use the RVT blue glue to be the end seals on the china walls. When you go to remove the old intake and clean the heads for the new gaskets and intake, make sure you place a large towel in the lifter valley, also make sure you stuff paper towels in the intake ports. If you use a holley or Edelbrock carb you`ll need the plate that sandwiches between the gaskets to prevent a vacuum leak. Do not use any spacers or adapters. If it were I, I would use a Quadrajet as it`s small primary`s help low end torque and economy. If you bolt on a holley or edelbrock there won`t be any power difference from the Quadrajet.
