Carb selection on 383 stroker

I have a 383 stroker should I use the 650 mighty demon or go with the edelbrock 750

All depends on what you like. I would suggest edelbrock, in my opinion they are simpler to work on. But you should look on both edelbrock and holleys website and read their descriptions and decide for yourself

carb selection

Go to Quick Fuel .com and look at the selection area. They will give you a math problem to do ....What RPM is the motor going to spin at max. then figure out the problem and choose the closed carb to the cfm they tell you...Example:
I am going to run the Lunati 60101LK cam with vortec heads...the cam spins max figures are 5500 rpm...Vortec's will allow about 300 more rpm's ...The cab they said to use was 590cfm~! So I am buying the Quick Fuel 600 cfm with vacuum secondaries....Better to use smaller than bigger...600, 650, max 670cfm for your build if in the 5,500rpm range..
