Carb Spacer Question


Now that my cowl hood is on the way and I can run a taller low restriction air cleaner, I will also have another inch or two to raise the carb using one of those carb spacers.

My question is: should I use one? If yes, do I get the "open" type or the "seperated" type where each barrel is seperated from the others. Also, what height should I start off with? 1", 2", etc.

Here is the basics of what I am running: 72 Nova, 468 BB Chevy street car, ported closed chamber (10.5 to 1) oval port heads with valve job, dual plane intake, extreme energy comp hydraulic cam (big cam), roller rockers, headers, msd distributor & ignition, Turbo 350 trans with shift kit, Holley 750 with vac secondary (upgraded to ProForm Racing Main Carb body).

Open for more top end power

4 hole for more low and midrange

I think you would need the open spacer. Get one that reduces heat to the carb.
