Carb spacers, which to use

The carb linkage on the rear 4779 Holley hits the carb adapter on our 6-71 blower setup on a BBC. We will have to use a spacer of at least 1/4" but will probably use a 1/2" spacer.

My question is is there any advantages to using a open spacer or a 4-hole spacer?

Open! A blower and it's manifold replaces and overcomes the issues that drive un-supercharged engines into 180 degree dual plane manifolds. So individual throttle hole spacers aren't necessary.

4 hole tapered into open- better carb signal. But when you only have a half inch to work with there won't be that much of a difference.
