willys is very correct on the 390. I forgot about that one and I have two of them setting on a tunnel ram intake to put on my sons 383 in his 57 Chevy. Its a vacuum secondary carb with the secondary metering plate reversed. Easy to tune in.

1BAD80 Again, if you'll look back where I've posted I've only made recommendations for our products when someone has either asked for opinions about what carburetor to use, or for someone who has purchased one of our products that is not correct for his application. I have not once made a recommendation to someone to sell anything else that they were having problems with to buy one of our products.

carburetion

I have sold my '35 pickup with the 283 engine. I appreciate all of the advice you gave me but the truck is gone so now I just need info on my '37 coupe I posted tonight.
Thanks,
Jim

It's OK dude. I'm glad you're here and I'm sure there are many others who are glad you're here. You're the only carburetor guys who seem to care enough to be here.

As far as you recommending your products...I think that is a DUH. Of course you're going to recommend your products. It's how business is done. Macy's doesn't recommend Gimble's.

This thread is 7 years old. What carb did you finally choose and how did it work out?

carburetion

The truck has long since been sold and I have asked for help in getting this thread deleted. The carburetor worked just fine after some noodling based on several helps I got from all of you guys.
Thanks,
Jim
