Heres a discussion lads!
My paint rep has said its ok to apply carnuba wax(we use MOTHERS california gold)to fresh paint??? we bake the job @ 85 degrees for 45 mins 1-2 hour cool down then 1500 wet flat / 3000 trizact/ 3m fast cut compound the jobs a good un.But the valeters smother the new paint in mothers cali gold.my rep recons 9 days for curing i say about 40 before wax id like to slap the little a-hole but my boss agrees with the rep???????

i apply it as soon as i'm done with final buff. it is not a sealer wax.

mothers pure canuba wax.

And you apply it to fresh clear coat ?have you seen one of your jobs a few months down the line?

all the time . as old as 35 years and as new as this morning. canuba wax will not harm fresh paint.

And a pure carnuba will still let the paint breath !

I don't see any benefit to putting wax on new paint,
Even one that is ok for fresh paint.
If it makes the freshly buffed paint look any better
then you need to learn how to buff and polish correctly.

My Paint Is So Shiny My Customers Ask If Its Still Wet :p

bugs and bird poop come off easier if you've polished it. easier to clean and care for since everything is on the canuba. soap and water and go again. i keep the front of my brides car polished with it grille , headlights and all.
