carter afb

i have a carter afb compitition 4 bbl that i just took apart and rebuilt, I got it all back together but it still dumps fuel after you kill the engine. can anyone help here?

maybe;

-float level too high
-float hanging up if the hinge area is bent
-something stuck in the needle & seat like a tiny shard of rubber line
-float has a leak and is partly filled with fuel

You need to check your fuel pressure,the AFB's and Edelbrocks work best at 4 1/2 to 5 psi.If it's over that get an inline regulator to bring it down,higher pressures on these carbs will cause the problem you are having, do the pressure check before you check float levels.
