Carter carb identification

I have searched this website and others but have not been able to find what I am looking for.

Does anybody know where I can find a chart or list that will identify Carter carbs (AFB and/or AVS) by their model number?

Thanks for your help!

The aftermarket AFB's (the 9000 Series) uses a base part number of 9000, with the last three digits referring to the flow rating. Therefore, a 9625 means a 625 CFM AFB carb. Adding 0 (i.e. 9625) indicates it is configured for a Chevy style linkage, adding 1 (i.e. 9626) means its a 625 for a Chrysler application, adding 2 (i.e. 9627) means its for a Ford application. Adding 10 means it has provisions for EGR.

The Carter AVS was an OEM factory carb. If you find one, it more than likely has a Mopar number on it. Dan
