well the bores are were just bored and machined but when i stored the engine(outside). Some how the bag fell off that protected the engine and a little water got in the cylinders. i took the heads off and there is very very minor rust in 2 cylinders.
now i just need to remove that rust and just to make sure i dont get any problems later am going to swap out all the piston rings. Yea it sucks but i dont have a garage or nothing.

oh yea i forgot to ask can you hone a block with the crankshaft still installed???
I will make sure to put plenty of rags on the crank. then clean each cylinder for any residue. Then last use my barel type vacum to suck up any shaving. Is this fine?? |
