Post Cat Crankshafts

Has Anyone had any Experience with the Brand Name Cat Crankshafts? If so, How do You Find Them to Be? Are They Straight? Are the Journal Sizes Std. as Specified? Do They hold up? or are They just Junk? Thanks in Advance!

I think you mean Scat, if so scat cranks are one of the leaders in after market cranks. I run one in my 383 stroker and I think they are great.

Drifter, no the Name is Cat, I know about Scat Cranks, they are o.k.. Cat cranks are sold by Speedomotive, and they are of Chinese Manufacture.

Any other Replies out there?

I've never heard of them either, but Speedomotive is a pretty good company.

I just got one Friday I had bought on Ebay from Dirttrackthunder.com for $119. It seems straight and the journals looked great. I installed it in my 1975 350 4 bolt block with a new set of std Clevite77 main bearings. I used Green Plasticgage to check the main clearances and they were all within spec and ranged from .0018 to .0020 I'm satisfied so far.
