center console instalation
hello people, i'm going to swap my front bench seat for factory buckets and console. the problem is that when i took a good look at where i should mount the console there are no markings or any indication where the console should mount. i figured since some cars came factory with it that there would be some sort of marking or cut out spot for the shifter on the tunnel but oops, its smooth. how do i go about figuring out where to make the cut out for the shifter? (details details details) there are so many things that come up when doing this for the first time. thanks for your time and patience

shifter location
If its a cable shifter it can be located anywhere that feels most comfortable. If its a linkage shifter. Assemble it and crawl under the car with a measuring tape.
I learned to drive in a 66 Impala. |
