chandler 406rb ?
I found chandler 406rb. The seller says its the same as consew 206rb. Is this a good machine to buy for upholstery work ? Is there anything I need to know before buying? Thanks

What you are looking for in a sewing machine for auto upholstery is a single needle, compound feed, (a combination of drop feed and needle feed) walking foot (which means alternating presser feet), lockstitch machine. If the Chandler is just like the Consew 206, it will work just fine. Does the machine have a clutch motor or a servo motor? A clutch motor is harder for a beginner to learn on. What is the price?
