Change colour high temp header / turbo paint?

I read some old posts on high temp paint and still havent come to any conclusion on which is the best to go with. I heard of some stuff that its a purple colour when you spray it on and once the cars headers have heated up it turns to a gold and stays that way after the engine has cooled down. Has anyone heard of that? I heard it was also pretty expensive stuff. If I cant find a good high temp paint, I might go the ceramics route. Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.
