Change lug pattern on disk brake conversion?
I am going to put front disk brakes on my 1968 chevy PU. The conversion kits come with standard 6x7/16" lugs wheels or 5x1/2" lug wheels. Is there a reason I should convert to the 5 lug pattern over the standard 6 lug pattern?
I am leaning toward staying with the 6 lug pattern as this will continue to match the rearend but is there a reason to convert to the 5 lug? |

Availability of custom wheels, 6 vs 5 lugs, would be a big factor. If you want to keep the stock wheels, go 6, if you want custom wheels I would go 5. If you are going to change to 5 lug on the front, get the rears redrilled, or change axles to match.
