change shafts
i got to change the tail shaft on a 700r tranny one is electric the other is cable drivin how do i am putting this in a 1990 chev pick up 2 wheel drive with a 350

iirc you have to change the tail shaft housing not the tail shaft..
and add the mechanical speedo gears.. not even sure you have to change the tail shaft housing, if you can find the mechanical speedo unit in another 700
|

If you have this on the trans now:
 Remove that metal disc, look for holes under the disc. You need these parts for mechanical speed-O :

yeah i got them parts but problem is how do i get that gear off of shaft can you call me 256-548-7028
