2 Attachment(s)
At the age of 73 I bought a 1965 BISCAYNE ex drag car 9 mos ago & am doing a frame off. I am attaching a few pictures showing a 59 dash w/autometer gauges in it, a camaro tilt wheel, T-bird power seats & a home made steel console.

One of the last posts about oblong holes for the plastic GM clips had good info in it about using a round punch and sheetrock knife. IIRC, Tandy Leather, has several sizes of oblong punches. And may be able to find one at McMaster Carr. I may be wrong, but I've seen them somewhere, in varying sizes up to about 3/8"x3/4" or 1" |
And your point is what? Yes, you are correct. There are punches made for oblong holes. What you won't find are all the sizes that would work for the holes for the Chevy door panels in question. Why buy a special tool to do something you are going to do once and never do again?
