First off its a little more invloved. You need to throw away the stock motor mounts.(as they are to far foward a let those turbo350 crack) The motor needs to be mounted on the side (another kit) then with the side mounts you stock ex manifolds(if your running them get the axe. Next the exh system probably will need to be changed out also(dont buy a kit they dont fit,have a custom shop in your area do it for you)Flex plate is just a stock item you could get from chevy or summit or jegs .When you buy the starter there should be a paper in there to show you how to shim the stater. You have a very big job ahead of you. Dont forget the drive shaft may not work as you may move the engine with the new mounts.Good luck and remember most so called kits need a little work(they dont just bolt in) Oh allmost forgot,the first thing you do is remove everything.Engine and trans get to come out. I dont understand about your column ???what did they sell you???
