changing kickdown cable on 350 turbo?

Do i have to drop the pan on the tranny to do so or will it pull up through the hole to release the pin?

unbolt the cable from the trans and pull it up, then youll be able to unhook the cable from the intermediate link. youll only have to drop the pan if you twist the intermediate link enough to unhook it from the trans.

IF you are installing a new cable with a rubber sealing sleeve ( not O ring)... the sleeve is installed into the trans case first... then the cable end lubed up slides in

Also, make sure you unhook it from the engine first.

Thanks guys give it another shot this afternoon. Once i removed the bolt and pulled it up fluid starting running everywhere so i thought i would check. Thought if i was going to get fluid all over me and i was going to have to drop the pan might as well wait. thanks again.
