Changing Servo on 700R4

They say the cap prys right off. Really?? Do I need the special GM tool for this task?

it will pry off! however if you can get at the cover o-ring through one of the slots with a small pick and pull the o-ring out or stretch it the cover can be removed easily?

it prys out after you depress the cover slightly and remove the snap ring
