chassis with ifs and irs for 1950 chevy

Hello, I have a 1950 five window chevy pu and I'm trying to customize it. I've had it about a year and a half. I love the fat fender chevy's. I don't have a chassis for it for someone stole it from a friends house. So I'm thinking about using a long bed S-10 frame. I have a question is it possible to use a short wheel base regular chevy pu to drop my cab, fenders and hood on. Does anyone know if it will work or not? I don't have any pictures yet but soon as I get a chance I will post them.

Thanks
Truck1950

chassis questions

Thanks for the information, I guess I'm going to have to stick with buying an s-10 chassis for the custom built or to rich for my blood right now.

Thanks again!
