chassis swap on a '60 Rambler American SW
I'm thinking that a way to get "modern" on my "60 Rambler American SW would be to set the body on a late model S-10 chassis. Has anyone done it this way? What are the pros and cons? Thanks for you time and thoughts, RWT

Hi Roger welcome, some discussions in the knowledge base on frame swaps might help or perhaps ask your question in the suspension forum.

Alas, all AMC and Ramblers (and Nash since the 1940's) are unibody. No frame! Just two cross members that bolt on, suspension and rear of trans.

this thread is old..
however. AMC's and Ramblers are Unibody from the Factory BUT, they can be adapted to a chassis by removing the floor and unibody structure.. check out American Lt1's Rambler, he did just that |
