Madd Syntst: No but a couple of the other guys in my class have, and my 'structor has been using them (and a few other good sources that I will post later), and are very pleased with the products and service (C.O.D. FedEx etc.) There are freight costs however, but as I recall they weren't much (stuff comes from Iowa).

Post re: Cheap engine kits!

i have a 327 and it aint that cheap from northern. _IF_ you have a 350, then yes, its a good deal for rebuild. anything else outside the box and its bigger bucks. my rebuild from them was close to 400 and thats without the pistons.
so make sure you do your home work. the parts are first class regardless.

I'm using Northern now for a 350 rebuild. I think the're great! Always very helpful with ouestions, on the phone or email. They beat my local suppliers by a mile on price. They ARE a little 350 oriented. Quality stuff, shipped right out, lowest shipping and hanleing of any mailorder I've used.

I had there magazine before, but wasnt really planning a rebuild. The 350 kit with hypertectic pistons looks great! Complete for 299.99.
Howz those Crane energizer cams though? Can you swap out cams for xtra? I ordered a mag to. HG
