I did that a couple of weeks ago, but now I need more. He's a really nice guy but I feel like I'm bothering him. Already need to ask for more of the 1/8 closed cell foam. Would prefer to buy it from a re-sale place.

I have found a foam shop that buys from a company that has a glue that seems to be correct, and they have agreed to bring in a gallon for me. Just have to go in and pay for it first. Hopefully it'll do the job:

JAXON AUTO TRIM AND MARINE TRIM CEMENT
Clear, sprayable synthetic elastomer developed especially to permanently
adhere Landau tops. Provides a waterproof, heat resistant, non-staining
bond on any common surface found in the automotive trade. Use cement to
adhere vinyl tops, fabric to foam, headliners, door panels, carpets and
more. Works on marine applications. To thin or clean use S 8427 solvent.
Available in 3.78 litre and 18.9 litre pails.
