Cheap headliner?
My truck needs a headliner. Just a very cheapo one, nothing fancy. Right now it's the old factory insulation stuff, and the brown leather headliner that used to be there is so teared up I took it out. I was thinking carpet liner? (thats what I'm using for my floors already) or just regular carpet?
Should I just glue it one or velcro?  Mike

1950 Dodge (Fargo) is the truck. I dont necesarly need an aftermarket headliner, just tips on what stuff to use to make my own (pretty straightforward)

I think it was Willys36 who made his own out of fiberglass. I think its in his Journal but if I remember right, he molded fiberglass over the top of the truck, then trimmed it up and fit it inside. Im not sure if that would be the best idea for you mike since it might mess up paint.

Like edge said, its really not that expensive on headliners. Heck I went fancy on mine and it still didnt cost me a whole lot. I went with flames, faux leather, and an overhead console.
about 8 bucks for the foam, 15 for the faux leather, and another 20 for the console off of ebay I dont know if you need a headliner board or not in your truck but I found a few threads that can help Cardboard headliner And heres the link to the part of willys journal where he did his headliner with fiberglass, http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/jour...age=5&reverse=
