cheap tranny options
Hello all.
my rat rod im building is using a turbo 350 auto tranny. I have a cutom shifter handle and arm(long typical wild rat rod style) but im looking for an inexpensive internal setup. I basically need something simple but something that will not let it slip outta gear. Weve discussed hookin up a detent cable and i dont want a fancy ratchety hard to use style. I looked at the cheapo mr gasket ones but dont know if they stop and lock in each gear or not. Ideas????? Tnx....HG

Use a double spring (clip the roller off top one) on the internal detent. This will hold the rod shifter in gear.
