Check out these Chrysler Dream Cars from the fifties.

As many of you know I love concept cars from the fifties and sixties, but I have stuck mostly to GM. I just did a quick search to answer BB's trivia question and came across some amazing stuff from Chrysler. Check out the link, WILD stuff.

1956 Plymouth Plainsman (Ghia) - Concepts

I can't get enough of this stuff!

It's not so much that I like all of these or GM concept cars, many leave a lot to be desired, which is exactly why they weren't put into production. I just dig the thought, I dig that they DID IT, not just thought about it, they built these cars to see what the public thought of them. This last wagon I pictured is WILD, I don't like every single thing about it but damn it is so WILD I just have to love it. They really went outside the box on that one. If you click on the link you will see many more shots of it and it was wild indeed.

Yeah I dig wagons but only owned one in my life, I have always loved them, I don't get it. I kinda "end up" with the cars I have ever owned though come to think of it. My Rambler would be so cool if it were a wagon, I dig those.

We just got one of these in this morning at the shop. I still think this is one of the coolest concept cars to hit the hiways in a long time, I DIG this car!

The roadster version was REALLY good looking, but I (personally) have trouble trying to like the tail end of the coupe. It always looked to me like they started with a great front end, a "not-too-bad" passenger compartment and then ran out of money to finish it from the doors back, so they just sort of drew some rounded lines. It wound up out of proportion (in my own warped view)

It's so funny how different we each can be. The convertible does nothing for me because it doesn't have that back end. The back is my favorite part of this car.
