Maybe in Texas too? He never mentioned that?

Myself I like Stewart Warner gauges ( don't know where they are made now) But they used to be a well made USA product

In a search I found this:
Quote]"I make a effort to research products before I buy them. I've bought autometer before so I could have USA made products. Since it's been a while I did a quick search and found one made in china (link below) I was surprised because last I knew they were a proud USA company. After giving them a call turns out they still are and the tach below is a almost exact copy. He said they couldn't do anything about it along with that he says they get complaints all the time over this because it does not work. The problem is the sportcomp and sportcomp 2. He said they show up on eBay mostly and I'm sure similar places also. I asked if buying from places like summit and jegs would be a safe place to buy. He said it would so I'm passing this along in hopes of saving others some trouble. I'm in no way saying anything bad about autometer only the china knock off.

I guess if you built a show car just for looks that you pushed and halled around in a trailer ( TRAILER QUEEN ) You could save a lot of money!!!!! Because its built for looks not functionality LOL Or they might make nice decorations LOL
