Chemical Stripping

I have begun stripping my quarter panels. I decided to use chemical stripper to keep the dust down, as I have small children. I didn't read the stripping wiki or any other articles before I started and now I am worried becuase I did not mask off any seams/cracks. I definately got a lot of stripper in the seams around the trunk weather stripping area and the seams behind the bumper.

The brand of the stripper is Jasco and it says that it does not need to be washed off because it neatralizes after it dries. Is this true? I have read in other threads that I should neutralize it with baking soda or laquer thinner. Would either of these work? Thanks.

Most of the area is stripped down to the original primer. It seems in good condition and it would be easy to leave it on. Or has it been compromised by the stripper and should be sanded off? Thanks.

never used that stripper but always neautralize with dawn soap and water. Use a red scotchbrite and scrub. afterwords, since it is down to primer, take a da with 80 grit and strip the rest down to bare metal and put a quality epoxy on it after. Neautralizing the stripper is very important. Never use laquer thinner.

I agree with jeremy the beat way to neautralize the strippr is with water only I use a metal prep water and a 3M red scuff before I prime with epoxy
