Most of the area is stripped down to the original primer. It seems in good condition and it would be easy to leave it on. Or has it been compromised by the stripper and should be sanded off? Thanks.

never used that stripper but always neautralize with dawn soap and water. Use a red scotchbrite and scrub. afterwords, since it is down to primer, take a da with 80 grit and strip the rest down to bare metal and put a quality epoxy on it after. Neautralizing the stripper is very important. Never use laquer thinner.
