chev 350

i have a 70's 350 and the heads have valve rotators on them...I was wondering how much lift I could go with for a new cam and lifter set...The heads are stamped 333882 wich apparently are off a 70's 400 according to my book and have 194 intake valves dont know the size of the exhaust. a buddy told me I couldnt put like a 2102 edelbrock cam in it because of the 442 lift of the exhaust side and 42...somthing on the intake side...I tried to ask a machinist but he's not very forth coming with any info. If any of you gearheads have an answer on this I would greatly appreciate the info. thanks

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong (hopefully)
882 heads should have 1.5 valves on the exhaust.
You should be fine up to .480 lift
Many will tell you these heads are junk, IMO if you got them, run them.
I've ran several engines with these on them and had never had them crack as they are supposedly prone to due. But my cooling systems are always overkill though.

Maybe I'm missing something on the Edelbrock cam, but I don't see a problem running it.
