cHEV 4.3L Bore size..compare to SBC 350 (both stock)

Hey guys
just wondering:

Are pistons for a stock SBC 350 exactly 4". i got some keith black pistons here and were only used for 500k i measured and they were 4" just wondering what the stock bore size is for a stock 350

and do the 4.3L chev and 350 share the same bore size??? Will i be able to use the 350 pistons?

Yes, the bore sizes are the same. The 4.3 is in reality a modified 350 with two cylinders whacked off.. Watch the piston weights tho. 4.3's used several different weight/styles of pistons. Unless re-balanced. The wrong combo will get you a shaker!

thanks for the reply, i got another question. I have some stock 350 connecting rods with full floating wrist pins on the pistons FROM the 350. I was also wondering if i will be able to use these rods as well on the 4.3.

Also, i have a gear drive from my 85 smallblock 350, my 4.3L is a 1989 and it has roller lifters. I was wondering if my gear drive would work on it, i know on v8 roller cam/lifters the bolt up is different for the timing chain and late model doesnt work with newer model v8's, but i was just gonna ask to see if anybody knew off hand if it would fit or not. Thanks

4.3 rods use different size bearing. 350 rods won't work. Neither will the gear drive. Bolt pattern is smaller and 4.3 has a thrust plate. Not compatible with early gear drive.
