Chevelle Seats

I have the option to get a front seat frame from 68 chevelle. But the only thing is would that be the same seat frame as a 72 chevelle? The 68 is a bench seat that i would recover with 72 seat covers and install into a 72 if the frames are the same.

Thanks

John

68-72 A-body seat frames are all the same. The only difference is headrests, which were optional in 68 and federally mandated for 69-72.

That is great. So it is not a problem using the 68 seat frame and redoing it to match the 72 interior. If The only differences is headrests this should all be simple.

Thanks for the help because I couldn't find that information any place on the web.

Thanks

John

If the headrests were optional in 1968, the mechanism for holding them in place should be attached to the seat frames already, and all you'll need is the headrests that go with your '72. Good luck.
