I'm trying to get vinyl material for my dark green 69 Chevelle split bench seat. All the repro books want to sell you complete cover kits which are a bit too pricey for me. All I really need to repair it, is the bottom bench seat portion. The backs and sides are all fine. Does anyone know where I can get matching vinyl like this? I don't mind if its original or a good repo.

Dont know if you live in a big city or near a big city, but id think most medium to large sized cities would have an upholstery shop. Even if they do furniture upholstery they will be able to get tons of different styles of vinyl. Different textures, different grains, shiny black, flat black, etc etc etc. Just look up Automotive Upholstery, Upholstery, or Furniture Repair/Upholstery in the yellow pages of your phone book.
