Chevrolet 350 in Holden
Hi every one this is all new to me as i,m not very internet savy although this web sight seems prety user friendly. I am in New Zeland and we love our muscle cars.We have a yearly 4 day event in New Plymouth called Americana and it has been a huge success our small city was filled with over 500 muscle cars, street rods and anything american including our american ambasiter and some visiting americans who went to the trouble to bring their hot rods over. I could not put my vehicle in as it is a Holden HZ series wich is the Austrailian arm of GM. These cars came out with Chev 307-327-350 engines from 1967-1975 and like most things GM interchangeability is awesome. The HQ-Wb series are my favourite They have a bolt on subframe and tons of components come from GM usa like bonnet hinges, steering collumbs ,TH 400 trans ,salsbury diff,Delco electric windows ect and I love the understated lines of the HQ which ran from 1971-1975 which would compare to the early 70s Pontiac type styling with its flush door handles ect. My one is a Hz which is from 1977-1980 and they have a bolder squarer front but same lines doors ect as HQ. I have progressivley being hot rodding it and I get the most enjoyment from the engine which is a 4 bolt 350 with scat crankand rods, AFR eliminator Heads ,A healthy Crane Hyd Roller,Rpm air Gap Man,750 Edl carb,Msd distrb and 6al,Tko 600 tremec trans and it is fairly light arnd 3100lbs. I hope to add some photos later so take care for now.
