Chevrolet performance engines

Remember my thread about Ford engines? This is completely same, but about Chevrolet engines. So, what Chevy muscle engine is most potential to updating?

I would say most of the small blocks and big blocks. all the small blocks can use most of the same parts and same goes for the big blocks. Some of the more popular ones that Ive seen are people getting 350s and stroking them out to 383s.

There are so many parts out there for 350,400, and 454, based motors, I would group all of them togather as far as ease of upgrading goes. As far as the most impressive for its size, and what reacts best to modifications from the stock version I agree with the LS series.

Ford's old slogan was "Have you driven a Ford lately?"

You can't drive it if it's broke down.

Nightrider, Im not sure if you understand what everyone means by what they are saying. Tbirdscott was making fun of chevy engines. While lluciano was makeing fun of ford. Its a never ending battle of which one is better Chevy vs. Ford.
Personally I think chevy kicks fords ***. Found On Roadside Dead

Cracked Heads Every Valve Rattles Oil Leaks Every Time

Fine OR Dandy

Chevy 302, 327, 350, 383, 400, 427, 454, 572 (and there was a 54x or 55x in there too) also the 462 Which I THINK comes as a Crate Engine... lol I pretty much labeled every chevy engine....

I always hated the Chevy Vavle Cover Bolting on Their Small blocks, those 4 little bolts piss me off sometimes, if you don't do it right it leaks or dents the valve covers (Seen it happen)

302 was awesome if you can find one go for it!, 327 was a good Torque Motor and can Handle 600 HP reliably, after that you really start Stressing the 2 bolt Mains. 350, lol GM's Back Bone Engine, without it they'd be lost, 383, Strong havent heard many problems, 400 Strong Oiling Problems to the mains but they can be fixed, 427 havent heard much problems there, same with the 454 on up, Have to ask other hard core chevy guys what they think
