Chevy 1987 V10 4x4 shrtbx dash lights/fuel gauge

The first thing to go was the fuel gauge. Then the bright light indicator, then the left blinker indicator and then one after one the dash lights quit working. Fuses good and light bulbs good. Where do I start? Help.

Since you have so many lights and instruments going out at random, it might be the printed circuit on the back of the cluster. This is a replacement printed circuit you can get from

Another possibility is the large plug on the wiring loom that connects the truck wiring to the printed circuit on the cluster. The plug is several inches long and has wiring on both side of the plug. If its falling out of the socket it might be causing a bad connection.

How do you test the bulbs to know they are working? Don't guess.
