chevy 292 rocker adjustedment
How do u do it none hitech way . It runs but pops little at idle good higher rpm after head gasket replace. Thanks

Using a ratchet and deep socket with the motor warmed up and idling and valve cover removed, back off the adjusting nut on one rocker at a time until it clatters. Tighten down until the noise is gone, the put another half turn (180 degrees) on the nut. That's your lifter pre-load. Go to the next rocker. Yes, it's messy.
