Chevy 3100 steering

Hello
I have put in an 350 engine in my 54 3100 pick up. no i have the Problem that the original steeringbox doesn`t fit anymore. does someone have an Idee how or wich steeringbox i can put in. i still have the original front Axle.

change your manifolds and offset your motor to the pass side one inch should work

Yep, this swap has been done for years, use Ram Horns to get more clearance and move the box over. The pitman arm will need to be bent down under the box a little. I had an old frame once when I did one and cut the chunk from the frame where the box mounted and simply welded that to the side if the frame after a little trimming and the box bolted right one of course. At little trimming to the firewall, moving the column over at the top makes the most sense to me so the steering wheel isn't crooked.
