Stall
If you dont run a stall speed of at least around 2000 with your setup you will have problems with the engine quiting when put in gear. ( requiring you to idle the engine high to compensate for the rpm drop when its put into gear.) The other reason for the stall is with a larger duration cam you will be making more top end power, thus for a good hard launch your engine needs to be closer to its power band. The stall allows you to reach a higher rpm when the brakes are applied instead of just sitting there and getting louder lol. I have run this exact cam in a customers truck and got by with a stall around 2100. I also ran around 24 degrees of timing (advanced) and this is to be set with no vac. advance hooked up. Goodluck!
