Chevy 350 to 454 conversion...

I have a 72' chevelle with a 350 and a 3 speed auto in it right now. Working with a limited budget, i was thinking of picking up a cheap early 70's model chevy pickup with a 454 and swapping the two motors and then reselling the truck. What's involved in switching the 454 to my chevelle, and what else would i have to upgrade during the conversion?
Thanks
Scott

It's a bolt in.
You might want to go with a Turbo 400 or a beefed up 350 tranny to handle the extra torque. Your Chevelle would have a Turbo 350 in it.

not exactly

The BB uses its own motor mounts. The SB motor mounts will work but the motor will sit up higher in the compartment. If hood clearance is a problem get the BB motor mounts.

The BB also uses a different power steering pump. The SB pump pulley will not line up with the BB pulleys.
