Chevy 350 crank pulley help

ok i am working on a pulley setup for my 350 the problem is my water pump pulley sticks out past the crank pulley about 2 inches and they don't line up so i cant put a belt on it. It has the long water pump and a grooved serpentine water pump pulley. What can i do to make them line up. I guess i could build a spacer to put in between the that crank pulley and the harmonic balancer but i dot really want to do that. Can i get a crank pulley that will stick out further?

You should be able to find pulleys.
These are from an 87 Chev pickup.
I don't think making a spacer is a good idea.

Your description is a little confusing, since I've never seen a grooved serpentine pulley (they are usually wide and flat). It sounds like you have the long water pump, but the crankshaft pulley is for a short pump. If you have PS, it probably won't line up either.

Are you trying to use a standard 2 groove pulley set (alt-crankshaft-water, crankshaft-water-PS) with a long water pump? There are a lot of these pulley sets in the junkyard, and you can still buy them new. Just buy a set that matches and they should line up fine. When you add AC it just requires one more groove on the pulley set.

I have the pulley you need with the wide ribbed pulley and the single groove for power steering or whatever. It is for a long water pump. The only reason I have it is that it missed bed of my truck when I was loading up and heading to the scrap dealer. I found it in the grass when I got back. You are welcome to it if you pay the shipping.
