chevy 350 heads on 305

Hi! I have good 350 heads and a 305 engine that has been recently rebuilt, bored .30 over. Can I put the 350 heads on the 305? Thanks

I hate to tell you this but this topic has been gone over in-depth about 50 times. Do a search and read till your content. As a general rule that comes up in all those post. The larger cc heads could in fact drop your compression such that any gains from airflow would be negated. This of course is if you can get the larger valves of the 350 heads to fit in the 305. Then when they fit they may be too close to surrounding internals to gain any from flow thereby leaving the possibility of the same flow and less compression and an net loss on Hp and Tq.

Hope that helps... Like I said though read the post they are it all.

Chris
