chevy 350 small block mount bolt torque
Who knows motor mount bolt torque for chevy 350 small block ?
Thanks |
been a mechanic for years dont think there is a torque spec just tighten them as tight as you can

Fatslapper...I hate to disagree but there are torque specs for every bolt on every engine. I will look in one of my manuals later today. OK I did a quick search and found this on a Buick 350 Right here and it shows the mount to the block is 63 foot-lbs. which would be the same for a Chebby

Tighten them till there snug, then give um an extra yank. You don't really need to torque them.

last i heard bolts are torqued to a spec that is pretty much the same for anything depending on the size-diameter- of the bolt regardless of where it's going. at least i've seen tables to that effect. just cant remember if it was in a 1955 service manual or not. but now on engine guts' bolts, like rod bolts esp., they are using a stretch gauge. i have never ever torqued those bolts youre talking about and havent had an engine fall out yet.
