chevy 350 vortecmajor problems dont know what

Alright I got a Chevy 350 I rebuilt about 100 miles ago I had left it pretty much stock for the rebuild then I built off of that. The motor consists of
Vortec heads upgraded
Edelbrock rpm air gap intake
Edelbrock 650 carburetor
Lunati 00016LK bracker master 2 cam
accel distributer
180* thermostat
Heavy duty radiator
Now my problem the car just idling runs extremely hot then I have very little vacuum. the car isnt drivable I set the distirbuter right back where it was set before im going to double check to see if it lines up tomorrow. The car has zero power. It had so so power before the vortecs but now I have zero the has to be something with the tuning. My uncle told me to run all the plug wires on the distributer to the right one so that I can get the vacuum canister off of the intake manifold since they are hitting now. The distributer is locked at full advance it is the only way the car will run.I don't understand this. please help because as of now the car is on a standstill.

Yep, super retarded timing will do it. You need to ck it with a real timing light too.

Why is the dist locked at full advance? It's not necessary at idle to have a ton of timing. Starting it can be a real challange when it's hot.
