Chevy 3600 pick up.
Hi Guy's,
Might be looking at a '55 3600 Chevy to buy. Can you tell me what the major differences between the 3100 and 3600 are? Would i be better off waiting for a 3100 to turn up? I will be fitting a Mustang front clip and Camaro back end with the 350 and auto box from my '79 C10. Could i use the back end from the C10 instead? Cheers, Daz. |

It is my understanding that the 3600 is more of a work horse. Sort of like a 2500 is compared to the 1500 today. Are you talking 1st series 1955 or 2nd series ?? The 1st series 1955 looks like the 1954's The 2nd series 1955 looks like the 1956 .........

This is the beast if a picture will help. I think it is a 1st series.

First series above The blue truck is a 2nd series. The 3600 has a longer wheelbase (about 10 inches or so) .
