Chevy 4.3 V6 starter on a 350..

I have my starter from my 4.3, it's less than a year old & is in awesome condition..will it be strong enough to turn the V8 over?

I want to try & start it this weekend.

It will probably work fine, as long as the starter nose is the same as what came off the engine to begin with.

There are two types- one w/bolt holes straight across from each other (for the smaller 153T flex/flywheel) and one w/the holes diagonal to each other (for the larger 168T 'wheel).

The only difference between the v6 and v8 in question is the starter will see one more compression stroke per engine rotation. It won't know the difference.
