Chevy 400?

I have a 65 chevy and when I got it the guy said it was a 400 I ran the casting #'s and it said it was a 350 the head # is 462624 which is a 350/400 76cc chamber 1.72/1.5,1.94/1.5, or 2.02/1.6 I'm not sure what valves is in it can someone please tell me what to look for to find out the valve size and is this a 400?

did you run the head casting number or the block number...?? where did you get these numbers at..on the head or block??

The only way to know what valves are in the head is to pull a head and measure them. What was the casting number onthe block?

If it is a 400, the last 3 numbers on the block will be either 509, 511 or 817.

I got the head # when I pulled the valve cover and the block # is 14010207

should I use those heads or the heads on my 350 now?
